At 32 metres high, it provides an excellent vantage point for landscape photography enthusiasts.
The view overlooks the Szczecin Lagoon, the delta of the Dziwna Strait and the extensive natural areas around Wolin.
The tower has a nautical character, referring to the history of the town.
Admission to the observation tower is free, and it is open all year round. From October to April: daily from 09:00 to 18:00, from May to September until 20:00. Entrance to the lookout tower may be restricted or completely closed in the event of rain, strong wind, ice, snow, limited visibility and other adverse weather conditions.
The facility is adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.
Instead of stairs, the ascent to the top is on an inclined level with handrails. This gives disabled people, the elderly, parents with children in pushchairs the opportunity to climb up.
The City Park in Wolin is a green area of approximately 10 hectares, lying on a trail frequently used by residents and tourists.
Between the thirty-two-metre wooden tower and the Hanging Hill is the Malta Glade. Its location among the trees, the appropriate distance to nearby attractions and the benches, shelters and other facilities guarantee a pleasant rest whatever the weather.
On the eastern edge of the park is the amphitheatre. This is a special facility for the site, as it hosts cultural events such as harvest festivals, Harvest Festival, outdoor film screenings and much more. Surrounding the stage is a large clearing with manicured grass and few trees, which is ideal for picnics or exhibitions.
An interesting object in the park is the statue of Třebov (Triglav), a deity of the Elbe Slavs and Pomeranians. He was depicted as a figure with three heads, on a black horse. His attribute was a holy oak. According to historians, he was created after the three tribes united by combining the equivalent of the three deities they believed in.
In the close vicinity are the Hill of Hangers and the barrow cemetery. These are closely associated with the history of the area and are very popular with tourists. It is the site of an archaeological reserve located on Gołogóra Mountain. It is the oldest early-medieval cemetery in Pomerania. There are 34 graves preserved to this day.
