17TH SZCZECIN PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION Szczecin – second shots

Over the past eleven years, we have seen hundreds of your photos, through which you have told the story of Szczecin, discovering and showing the hidden aspects of its essence and structure; its tissues and cells; its inner and outer views. From the number of photos submitted each year, we conclude that we all enjoy searching for and discovering views of places and points of view. Over the years, participants in the Szczecin – Second Frames competition have learned to notice and familiarize themselves with views and plans, situations and circumstances. They have acquired a lightness and dexterity in conducting a photographic conversation about the city: its obvious and hidden secrets, its monumentalism and details, its unfulfillments and charms. They know how their personal sensitivity can delight viewers with its tenderness, alertness, and unpretentiousness... Ladies and gentlemen, there are as many second-rate photographers among us as there are of you walking the streets, parks, housing estates, ruins, and forgotten corners of Szczecin. Once again, we invite all photographers to take part in our photo competition and try to show their views of the city through the sharp, sensitively filtered and sensitive qualities of your eyes and your lenses. We look forward to seeing you there! The event is partnered by Western Pomerania. Schedule of the competition and post-competition exhibition: a) submission of works by October 31, 2025; b) announcement of the alphabetical list of winners and participants of the photography workshops (without specifying the place in the competition) by November 15, 2025; c) official announcement of the results and award ceremony combined with a post-competition vernissage – December 6, 2025, at the Organizer's headquarters.
