22nd Provincial Film Festival in Eberswalde

For months, the projectors and screens in the Provincials' program advisory board were running non-stop to view the submitted entries. The 14-member team watched and discussed the approximately 600 submissions from 67 countries and compiled a careful selection. Thirty-six films made it into the competition, including eight feature-length documentaries, eight short documentaries, eight animations, and twelve short films. The competition films come from 20 countries, including Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Kyrgyzstan, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Syria, Mexico, France, Colombia, Italy, Austria, Canada, Slovenia, the Philippines, Poland, Russia, Estonia, Denmark, and Iran. The 21st Provinziale promises an exciting and cosmopolitan program with unusual perspectives and a refreshing cinematic freshness.
