A photography exhibition that connects generations and preserves memories – of the city, of family, of light captured on film. The exhibition will feature black-and-white photographs by Tadeusz Chmielewski, one of the first photographers in post-war Świnoujście, as well as contemporary photographs by Julita and Dariusz Chmielewski, who are continuing the family tradition. Alongside archival shots of the city, we will also see contemporary street photos – also black and white, in the same spirit, but with a different perspective. This year marks the 15th anniversary of Tadeusz Chmielewski's death – it is a good moment to recall his achievements and emphasize how strongly his work is present in the city's memory. The exhibition is not only a record of the changing Świnoujście, but also a story about heritage – photographic and local. About the fact that light can be inherited.
